I hadn’t realized how long it’s been since I threw up a list of links until I opened up Firefox and it took 17 minutes to launch.  Here’s the noteworthy linkage for the last 9 months.

• Quickly following in DC’s footsteps, Archie drops the Comics Code seal.  Rich Johnston investigates further, and finds more than I had always heard, which is that the Code is just an empty office that collects checks and the publishers police themselves.  Newsarama does it’s own digging, as well.  And then finds out who’s been doing the work for the past two years.
  
• Maybe it’s just me, but I’ve found it fascinating to see how these production proofs of Detective #27 differ from the published product.  Why/how would the art change?
• Marvel (again) announces they’ll be keeping cover prices down at $2.99.  Suuuuuuuuure, they will…
• R.I.P. Wizard Magazine.  They were perfect for getting middle school kids into comics, but not so good for growing up with.
• Confidential to Matt.  I’ve looked EVERYWHERE for a picture of the guy from WWN.  Is there an old archive somewhere?
• Also for Matt, Dan Jurgens is headed back to Booster Gold.
  
• Spider-Man joins the Future Foundation.  Which is a great idea, but why does he change his costume?  Is Reed finally sharing his unstable molecules with the world or does Peter not anyone to recognize him?
• The Onion AV Club takes a look at Legends of the Superheroes.  Matt and I had the dubious pleasure of watching these a couple summers ago, but I can’t imagine DVD-quality makes it any more bearable.
• The new Godzilla comic gets 80 variants!  I’m usually against variants, but the chance to get a copy with your comic shop on the cover is pretty cool.  Whoever does the data entry for Chuck Rozanski and Peter Bickford will be having an aneurysm, though.
